What a splendid gift it would be if the works tearing up the best-seller lists weren't that of a Stieg Larsson, but a Steig, William. If, rather than girls with inadvisable tattoos playing with fire, we had "Sylvester and the Magic Pebble," "Abel's Island" or even "The Lonely Ones" clawing to the top in a fit of posthumous re-appreciation for a modest artist of tremendous ability.
