UK Government Legal Deposit Regulations - deadline 29 July 2011

The UK Government Department of Culture, Media and Sport are requesting information for an economic impact assessment of their draft Non-Print Legal Deposit Regulations. DCMS have issued a questionnaire which closes at the end of Friday 29 July 2011. This is a very short turn around for such information and the department are aware of this. There are likely to be additional opportunities to add to the impact assessment after this survey during further consultation; however, it is vitally important that the impact of the proposed regulations on publishers is clearly heard by the DCMS and I urge you to complete the survey as fully as possible. Responses will remain confidential within the DCMS and will be averaged and anonymised prior to being made public in the official impact assessment document. The initial public consultation on Non-Print Legal deposit took place at the end of 2010, and the Government's response was published in April 2011 - ALPSP
